How holy is our God
There is no guile found in Him
For by His power the world was made
And by His Spirit life was formed.

He is jealous for our love
He desires our devotion
His love creates all life
Nature resounds with God's love.

The tiny spark that created you
Was God's love in the flesh
That we should have life
Abundant life in Him.

Abundant life can only be realized when we give Him everything we are and have. When we exchange this life for His life we gain His eternal nature and purpose for us.

In this country we congratulate the properous and follow the lives of the famous with envy. We strive to attain things which have no lasting value- we must have the largest flat screen t.v., the coolest car, take the most adventurous vacation and yet none of these things brings us any peace. Maybe a few people will be impressed, but inside, when we are all alone, we still feel empty and no matter what we accumulate it will never be enough to fill that large cavern inside. Psalm 49 brings into sharp focus that we have a finite number of days to enjoy our possessions and positions in this world.

In 1 Timothy, chapter 6, Paul makes it abundantly clear when he says that we brought nothing into this world and we can take nothing out of it. Our hope should not be in whatever accolades and acquisitions we can obtain but our hope should be in the one true God who will richly provide us with all that we need.

What a great responsibility we bear when we commit all to the Lord. Can we conceive of "all"? That means everything-our money, our life, our loved ones. We give control of what happens to us and our loved ones to Him. Paul frequently talks about dying to this life and being alive in Christ. In giving God control of everything precious to us we are dying to our plans and ideas of who we are and our vision of our future. We give it all to God. This is a sacrifice most of us find very difficult because it involves trust. Trust that whatever happens in this life God will be there with us as we go through it. Trust that He has a plan beyond that which we can see and comprehend.

Pray for the ability to trust Him always with everything you have. Ask for His peace to carry you through difficult times and know above all that He loves you.

A look at Faith

You are seeking the pleasures of the moment, of today, but it does not bring you happiness. You are happy for a moment and then your misery overtakes you tomorrow. so you seek new things to entertain, amuse, and distract you from the unhappiness inside. Change your life! Listen to what God would have you do. Meditate on God and His Word and you will find happiness and fulfillment that you never dreamed possible before.

What gives pleasure for the moment is fleeting; you are grasping at the wind and cannot contain what God has for you, for your life. Open your self up to His Spirit, meditate on His Word, listen to God speak to you. Take time every day to listen to God. Your life will change if you do this.

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God-meditate on His Word.

All things are possible through faith. Did not the maker of this world make you and all things in it? If you can believe for a little, why not believe for a lot? Faith is the catalyst of miracles. Without faith there can be no change of heart or change in circumstances. Faith is a subject we know little of because our minds only want to grasp what we can see and what we can prove through logic and science. What is science except a study of God's miraculous plan for our world? If God can make this world can he not heal a heart, a mind, a body? Ask for faith to believe. Trust the words He speaks to you-words of life and hope.
